If you ask most people about dentures, they immediately think of artificial teeth that look just that – artificial. The reputation was well deserved decades ago when dentists were limited by materials and techniques of the day.
But the days of fake, one-size-fits-all dentures are long gone! At Reflections Dental Spa, we use updated materials and technology to create dentures so natural-looking that no one will know they aren't your own teeth!
Replacing missing teeth is important, not just for esthetics, but to maintain the overall health of your smile. Custom dentures replace lost teeth so you can eat, chew, and speak without difficulty.
Dr. Deepthy Thomas has the skill and experience necessary to offer our patients traditional dentures as well as the security of implant-supported dentures. Both options allow us to customize your dentures to meet your unique needs and desires.
Planning your new dentures is an important (and exciting!) part of the process. Updated materials and techniques give us the freedom to work with you to design full or partial dentures that fit your smile in every way.
We’ll make sure your new dentures are comfortable by ensuring that they conform to the contours of your jaw and gums. Esthetics are just as important as fit, so we invite you to sit back and enjoy our relaxing amenities while we work with you to design dentures that look and fit better than you ever thought possible.
Traditional full or partial dentures are a set of artificial teeth that are worn over the gums to replace lost teeth.
The replacement teeth are created to our specifications by highly skilled technicians. The base of the denture is designed to form a secure, comfortable seal with the gums. Artificial teeth are then placed individually in the gum-colored acrylic base to mimic the positioning of natural teeth.
These dentures are removable, but we work closely with our dental lab to create completely customized dentures that minimize the potential for shifting and slipping.
Implant-supported dentures are secured to the mouth using dental implants that are surgically placed in the gum. Your dentures are made with attachments that line up with the implants and are snapped into place. This combination of implants and dentures offers you the most comfortable and secure fit possible.
Whether you choose traditional or implant-supported dentures, you must take proper care of your dentures to prolong their life and keep the gums and remaining natural teeth healthy. You should clean your removable dentures regularly and, if they’re supported by implants, you should brush and floss them regularly to maintain the health of your gums and any remaining natural teeth.
